We are so incredibly excited to announce the first main round prompt and the official start of the HSO!
This year, we’re loosely theming the prompts around patron trolls. We’re also trying to give you a little more creative space with this year’s prompts, so we’ll see how this works out!

For Round One, incorporate gambling—literal or metaphorical—in your submission. It doesn’t need to be the central focus, but it should be a major theme.

For no reason whatsoever other than the fact that I felt like making something, I made a Smuppet! But since I really have no need of one and probably could make another if I wished, I will be giving this away!

He’s made of this really nice lime green material I got on sale at a local fabric store. I am not sure what it is, but it’s definitely not fleece or that. It’s filled with polyfill and while I typically don’t have the cat all over my stuff, it will come from a cat-friendly home. He’s about 16 inches from nose tip to the furthest point, 15 inches from nose to butt. He’s subject to human imperfections, but I’m pretty satisfied with him.

AKA, consider this a retirement post. I’d like to thank everyone for their comments, questions, compliments, and support - I thought I at least owed it to everyone to draw the curtains instead of quietly abandoning the blog.

There’s a lot of reasons for my decision, but I think the best way to explain it is that I’m no longer having fun with the askblog, and there’s no point in perusing a hobby that doesn’t make you happy. Maybe we’ll run into each other again during another project.
